National Centre for Seismology reports that Jaipur, Rajasthan, is struck by an earthquake of magnitude 4.4

In the early hours of Friday July 21, 2023, Jaipur, Rajasthan, was struck by three earthquakes. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reports that the three tremors were felt over a period of 30 minutes.

According to the report, the earthquake struck at 4:09 am on July 21, 2023, at a depth of 10 km, around 9 kilometres from Jaipur.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, has been hit by an earthquake with a Richter scale value of 4.4, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

"Earthquake in Jaipur," wrote Murari Lal Meena, Rajasthan's minister of tourism and civil aviation, in a tweet. I hope everyone is secure.

Jahnvi Sharma, another resident, uploaded a video of the earthquake. What a terrifying day to see an earthquake of that magnitude in Jaipur, she said.
